Server’s Top Ten Countdown – 9/7/09

Another music grab week, another top ten countdown for the songs that I’m listening to right now…

10. (If You Are Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To – Weezer

The new Weezer song finally charted on Billboard for the first time this week. Not the best from Weezer, but its good enough to keep me entertained until Raditude comes out. It drops down to 10 from 4, sorry Weezer.

9. She’s a Genius – Jet

Just like the last chart listing, I’m keeping this one at #9

8. Heads Will Roll – Yeah Yeah Yeahs

The music video is still one of the coolest ones I’ve seen in awhile and the song is darkly catchy.

7. Ignorance – Paramore

Paramore is getting back on top now that Ignorance is playing on the radio once again, heard this song way earlier in the summer, so I’m pretty bored of it by now. Though what is up with Hayley and that light bulb?

6. Down – Jay Sean ft. Lil Wayne

This song is losing steam for me, though still hot everywhere else. Better than most R&B songs out right now, so I’ll keep it on the chart.

5. Starstrukk - 3Oh!3 ft. Katy Perry

I’m not one into remixes often, but I just found out today that 3Oh!3 released this song on the radio with Katy Perry and a new background beat. Time to give it a second listen.

4. 22 – Lily Allen

Strangely I’m still into this song, maybe because its better than any other crappy pop song done by the american bubblegum artists. That could be it.

3. Weightless – All Time Low

My favorite song of the month gets bumped from the top spot by 2 new songs that I’ve found recently, but if I had to choose a pop punk band between ATL or Boys Like Girls, you gotta go with ATL, the other guys are just lame.

2. New in Town – Little Boots

She’s like the British Lady Gaga, by mixing pop and electro together, though with much less innuedo in the songs. This one is just a awesome feel good song. Strangely I found this on the Jennifer’s Body soundtrack.

1. Medicate – AFI

If I did a Top Ten last week, this would’ve made it to #1 too. First heard this song on Guitar Hero 5 and had to wait it out to download since it didn’t come out yet. It’s one of AFI’s best and this week’s #1 song stuck in my head.
